Burnley has completed the signature of French midfielder Leslie Ugochuku from Chelsea for a fee of more than £ 20m.
The 21 -year -old has signed a five -year deal in Turf Moore.
The BBC Sport understands that the fee is similar to the £ 23.2m Chelsea paid to sign Ugchuku in 2023.
“This is a great feeling to sign for the Bernley,” said Ugochuku.
“As soon as I was made aware of the club’s interest in signing, I was eager to hear more about the project. I talked to the manager and Maxim (Estev) – both of them were very emotional about the club and the direction in which it is going.
“It seems that this is the perfect step for me in this stage of my career, in which the club is visible.”
Ugochuku was considered a surplus for the requirements at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea looks at her so -called ‘Bomb Squad’ to sell several players – a group of players, including England’s International Rahim Sterling and Ben Chilwell – Ango Marska’s first training.
Ugochukvu spent two years in Chelsea, 15 displays in all competitions during their first season before joining Southampton on a season-length for 2024–25.
Burnley is also interacting to sign Chelsea’s 23 -year -old Forward Armando Brooja.
Sources say that this step may be up to £ 20M but the exact price has not been confirmed.
