Ireland Back Brittany Hogan says that the performance of warm-up against Canada in Saturday’s last World Cup is more important than the result.
Canada ranks second in the world and is behind a 27-21 return win over Scotland in the game at Ireland’s leading Belfast.
Scott Bimund’s side will face Japan, Spain and New Zealand in Pool C in the tournament in England.
“At the end of the day with the result, this is another warm-up game with the result, but it is another step towards a successful World Cup.” There is a change in 10 Ireland For the game in Belfast.
“We are looking for a performance, and if it puts us on the right or wrong side of the scoreboard, it’s not all and finish everyone.
“We need to ensure that we go through our processes and play our game.”
Ireland lost 21–8 to Canadians in Vancouver in WXV1 in October, and Hogan said Irish was “very disappointed” in a match which was close to the scorline.
Hogan said, “We are in any confusion that it is going to be a difficult match.”
“We are going to earn every inch against them, and they are a physically prominent team, but we just have to match it.
“We did this when we played against him in Canada in WXV1. It is also about bringing our sports awareness, knowledge and strategy in it.”
