Election Commission’s India is giving 334 registered unfamiliar political parties

Election Commission of India Saturday (August 9, 2025) said it has removed 334 registered unfamiliar political parties that have failed to meet the necessary positions of contesting the same election for six years since 2019.

The offices of these parties also cannot be physically located anywhere.

The poll panel said that these 334 registered unfamiliar political parties are from different states and center areas across the country.

Of a total of 2,854 registered unfamiliar political parties, 2,520 cleaning remains after exercise.

Currently, there are six national parties and 67 state parties.
