CM Naidu to participate in International Tribal Day celebrations in ASR district

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will participate in the International Tribal Day celebrations in Vanjangi village of Vanjangi village in Alli Sitama Raju (ASR) district on Saturday.

The Chief Minister will also visit the Modakondma temple and participate in traditional tribal cultural programs. He will also visit tribal houses to understand the situation of his living.

Later, Mr. Naidu will interact with coffee growers. This will be followed by a public meeting in Lagisapal. From there, he will inaugurate various development projects in tribal areas. Many mouss will be signed in his presence. Mr. Naidu has also been scheduled to interact with party workers.

The United Nations has given the subject of this year as ‘protecting the rights of indigenous people: artificial intelligence and future of indigenous people’.

The government intensified road development projects to connect the tribal settlements of remotely remote along with agency headquarters and grounds.

In the next five years, 2,075 tribals to increase connectivity with Hamlets, roads and bridges worth 2,404 crore were being constructed. In ASR district alone, ₹ 41 crore was being spent on road corridors. The Community Health Center in Chintur ITDA was being upgraded from 50 to 100 beds.

In addition, the 50 crore each was approved for multi-specific hospitals in the areas of Sempeta, Parvathipuram, Rampachodavaram, KR Puram and Srisailam Etah. These hospitals were expected to start soon. Construction of a medical college in Paderu was also moving fast.

Under the Water Life Mission (JJM), drinking water was being supplied to 13,816 tribal houses at a cost of 2,373 crores to complete the works by 2026. To support tribal youth for the preparation of DSC and other competitive exams, the government had established study circles in Visakhapatnaina, Vijwada, Dirupada.

Apart from this, to 150 crore was approved to convert residential school buildings into hostels in tribal areas. An additional ₹ 64 crore was being spent on the construction of more than 520 new residential school buildings.

A high-level bridge across Nagavali between Poonapadu and Komarda in Parvatipuram-Manyam district was being raised at a cost of ₹ 10 crore. The government had also prepared a plan to promote plantation areas and establish pumping and processing units, now also prepared a plan to expand an internationally famous brand, Arku coffee. About ₹ 202 crore will be spent on coffee plantation and expansion of infrastructure. A press release said that tourism projects will also be started to create jobs and livelihood opportunities for tribal youth in agency areas.
