US President Donald Trump has said To double tariff on Indian imports.

The order claims that these imports, whether direct or through middlemen, present an “unusual and extraordinary threat” to the United States and justify emergency economic measures.

According to US officials, on August 7, the initial 25% tariff came into force. The additional levy will be effective in 21 days and will apply to all Indian goods entering American ports – already with exceptions of goods in transit and some discount categories.
