Nellore Municipal Corporation intensifies cracks on unauthorized constructions

In a step to intensify the cracks on unauthorized constructions, Nellore Municipal Corporation (NMC) is taking several steps to put an encroachment of road in the city, a check on illegal buildings and structures.

NMC Commissioner Yo Nandan on Thursday asked to clean the road margin encroached by shops in the area around AC Sabba Reddy Vegetable Market near Madras Bus Stand.

He asked the officials to monitor the market regularly and stop the re -establishment of shops by roadside vendors, causing traffic disruption. Apart from encroachments, NMC is also cracking on illegal constructions.

Acting on the orders of the Commissioner, the officials of the city plan department on Wednesday demolished three buildings in Venkatarmapuram and James Garden areas, in which additional floors were built in violation of rules.

Earlier, the Commissioner directed the officials of the Planning Department and the Ward Secretariat Planning Secretaries to identify the buildings that have been constructed without the construction of permits in the column stage and without removing the structures.

Last week, the three-construction apartments were identified without permits in the Harnathpuram Extension area. He asked the building owners to stop the construction works immediately. Charge-sheet was filed against the owners of three other buildings beyond the permit.
