Hundred 2025: Georgia Wareham led Northern Super Charges, who Welsh Fire | Cricket news

Georgia Wareham acted with the bat and the ball as the northern supercharges reduced the welsh fire in Headingley.

Australia International scored 29 runs off 17 balls and then adopted 2–19 as the supervisors won by 47 runs.

Wareham shared an unbreakable stand of 52 with a top scorer Holi Armitage, which ended at 34 Not Out.

The pair fired their team 141–4, in which Hail Mathews replaced 2–18 for the fire.

Wareham then acted in the ground as she was in the run out of Sophia Dunkle and Georgia Elvis before dismissing Jess Jonasen and Katie George in 20 balls.

The Tammy Beom Top scored with 36 but the wickets regularly fell to the other end as the fire was excluded for 94.

Sophia Dunkley was dismissed for one after trying to go for a quick single, but her batting partner Hail Mathews was not at the same wavelength.

How do matches work?

  • One hundred balls win the team with one side, the highest run. This is very simple.
  • Five bowlers can bowl up to 20 balls in an innings, including five or 10 in a row.
  • The traditional six-chandas seen in other forms of cricket are not used in a hundred, in which 10 balls are bowled before finishing.
  • The powerplay is for the first 25 balls of an innings, allowing only two fielders outside the 30-yard circle.
  • The 25-gent-e-side game is the minimum length that can be played in wet weather conditions.
  • If a match is tied in the knockout stages, a Super 5 will be played, in which the winning team will be scored the most runs with another five balls.
