The BBC has signed a broadcast deal with Boxxer, which means prime-time television and world class professional boxing returns for BBC iPlayer.
In the next 12 months, the BBC will continue to fight the selected programs on the iPlayer and BBC Sport website with BBC two or three.
The Boxxer currently has some of the biggest talents in the UK boxing including Olympic and World Champions Lauren Price.
BBC Sport Director Alex Kolski said, “Professional boxing is a thrilling moment for us to bring back to Primateime BBC television, free-to-air, and our broad digital platforms and is an exciting moment for us and is expected for boxing fans.”
The first incident is expected to take place by the end of the year, dates and headlines will be announced in the coming weeks.
Boxxer led by promoter Ben Schleom staged a price and an all-women card by Natasha Jonas in March and also promoted Amir Khan We Kel Brook, Liam Smith V Chr Chr Chris Youbank Junior, Classa Shields V Sawan Marshal and Fabio Wardley V Frezer Clarke in recent years.
