Ghana officials have captured a luxury car, allegedly associated with the income of crime from Charles NII Armah, a crime, known as Shiut Vale after a US request.
2019 Lamborghini Urus is allegedly tied to Ghana’s Nana Quabne Amua’s criminal venture, who is serving a seven -year jail sentence in the US for fraud.
Welle denied knowledge or relationship with Ghana in jail, saying that he is the “third-party owner” of the car. “I don’t know who sent to the country (this),” he said.
Shata Velle is one of the most famous stars of Ghana and already collaborated with Beyonse, already shown in her 2019 Lion King Albums.
Vale criticized the officials on the recovery of bright yellow Lamborghini on social media, questioning why the authorities flew a storm at their home with guns.
The dancehwall artist wrote on his social media page, “The agency’s Chief Executive Officer accused him of humiliating him.
Vale said that he had bought a car for $ 150,000 ($ 113,000) and had presented assistant documents to the authorities.
Lamborghini is expected to return to the US as part of “(Amua’s) $ 4.7m restaurant, said EOCO said, the FBI and US Department of Justice intended to formally ask for formally for mutual legal aid for their return.
The agency said that the car was recovered in a civil manner without any incident.
The EOCO said in a statement, “This is a standard security protocol for monitoring and asset recovery unit officials that are to carry weapons during the operation for their safety.”
Vale was later allowed to surrender the car personally, which is now in Eco custody.
The records of the US court indicate that Amua and his co-co-operatives had replicated sellers to cheat around 70 public and private organizations across the country.
He betrayed institutions in wiring money in bank accounts controlled by the group through shell companies.
In 2023, Amua was sentenced to 86 months jail and the car was reportedly marked as part of the restoration.
